Datenschutzerklärung · last updated 7 June 2026
This policy explains what personal data educk
(educk.io, including the dashboard at
/app) collects, why, on what legal basis, and the rights you
have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this site is:
Vector & Veneer UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Rubensstr. 108, 12157 Berlin, Germany
See our Impressum for full contact and register details.
2. Server log files & hosting
When you visit the site, our hosting infrastructure automatically processes technical data your browser transmits — including your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, the referring URL, and your browser and operating system. This data is used to deliver the site, ensure stability and security, and is not combined with other data or used to identify you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Cookies
We use the minimum cookies needed plus, with your consent, Google Analytics. We do not set advertising cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Set when | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
educk_consent |
Stores your cookie choice (granted / denied) so we don't ask again and don't load analytics without consent. First-party, strictly necessary. | When you click Accept or Decline | 1 year |
_ga, _ga_<id> |
Google Analytics — distinguishes users and persists session state to produce aggregate usage statistics. | Only after you accept analytics | up to 2 years |
The educk_consent cookie is required to honour your choice and is
set on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). All other
cookies are set only after your explicit consent.
4. Google Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse how visitors use the site (e.g. pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type, time on page). In Google Analytics 4, IP addresses are used only transiently to derive coarse location and are not logged or stored by Google. The information is processed to help us understand and improve how the site is used; we only ever see aggregated statistics.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give via the cookie banner. Analytics is not loaded before you consent, and you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (see below).
Transfer to third countries: data may be transferred to and processed by Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, providing an adequacy basis for the transfer; in addition, EU standard contractual clauses are in place. There is a residual risk that U.S. authorities may access the data.
More information: Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
5. Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw analytics consent at any time, effective for the future, by
deleting the educk_consent cookie (and the _ga
cookies) in your browser settings — the consent banner will then reappear and
you can choose Decline. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser.
6. External data source
Electricity forecast figures shown on educk come from the ENTSO-E transparency platform. This is aggregate grid data and contains no personal data about you.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15);
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16);
- erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18);
- data portability (Art. 20);
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21);
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing (Art. 7(3)).
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in the Impressum. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority competent for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), www.datenschutz-berlin.de.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or legal requirements. The current version is always available at this page.
